PlantDefense Kit: the integral solution for plant tissue culture

PlantDefense Kit®

Is a set of tools to minimize microbial contamination in plant tissue culture processes. It is comprised of colloidal silver, surface polymers, stabilizers, and additives, which eliminate any microorganism upon contact, without affecting plant cells. All components of the kit are safe for workers and do not generate any hazardous waste.

The Kit can be used in three different ways:

As a disinfection solution

(For use in disinfection prior to introduction)

  • It easily dissolves in water and works as the disinfection solution for your explants.

  • Provides a high disinfection power without damaging the explants.

  • There are no problems of damage and oxidization to plant tissue by prolonged exposure, as observed with chlorine or alcohol solutions.

As a protection additive

(Is added as one more ingredient to your culture medium)

  • Prevents the development of microorganisms.

  • It can be autoclaved.

  • The component has high stability, is stored at room temperature, and does not require special care.

  • The final dose can be adjusted according to the needs of each species.

As a protective coating for explants

(This presentation comes ready to use)

  • In its presentation as PlantDefense Coating Technology® it is applied with a dropper on the explant just after inserting it in the culture medium, at the introduction or multiplication stage.

  • This allows the explant to be covered with an antimicrobial power that prevents the proliferation of endogenous contamination, without interfering with the metabolic processes of the plant tissue.
